In 25th of May Fifty year 6's and some year 5 went to NYLD to learn how to be a young leader. So then, we hopped on a bus and travelled to Vodafone Events Center in Manuka when we got there we saw a lot of secondary schools and primary schools standing outside of the events center.

After, when we hopped out of the bus we ran to the tiki and took a group photo we did funny face's and we went inside the event center.

We saw secondary school's and primary school's we got told to go where the host were waiting we got to our seat, there was a notebook an pen.

So then, we heard music from the DJ and one of the helpers told all of the school to do a wave, so all the secondary schools, primary schools did the wave.

  1. Hi Shaval,

I have really enjoyed reading your blog post about NYLD. You sound like you had an awesome time and remembered and shared a lot of the key messages that you heard. I also enjoyed going last year and was a little disappointed I didn't get to go this year. It is always so inspiring to hear how people struggle to achieve their dreams or goals and then overcome them for the greater good, e.g., providing water for the poor, saving a beach.

How do you intend to lead others? How could you lead positive change at Ormiston? If you could change anything, what would it be?

    Mrs P
